A Look Inside 6th Grade

By Michael Hall

It’s the start of the new school year! New teachers, new classes, and the biggest of all, new 6th graders. I recently got the opportunity to speak with one of the new 6th graders, William Peng, to see how his experience at Pin Oak has been.

Q: Were you nervous about entering middle school?

A: “Yes, because of the complicated schedule.”

Q: How was your first day of school?

A: “It was nerve-wracking and confusing.”

Q: Were you overwhelmed by any of your classes? Were you underwhelmed                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            by any classes?

A: “So far no, because of the lack of homework, but I think that when I receive homework, I think my classes will be overwhelming.”

Q: What was your impression of Pin Oak after your first day of school? Did going through the week change your opinion?

A:  “After the first week of school, I thought it was fun. As the week went on, my impression didn’t change.”

Q: Do you like middle school better than elementary school? In what ways?

A: “I like it much more than elementary school, because I think it’s much more fun.”
This wraps up my interview with William Peng!
