BOOK REVIEW: SIMON VS THE HOMOSAPIEN AGENDA

Simon vs. the Homosapien Agenda is a young adult novel by Becky Albertalli. It was published in March 25, 2015. It is now a major motion picture called Love, Simon  which is to be released  March 16, 2018.

Simon Spier is a 16 year old boy who is not openly gay and has an online pen pal who goes by the name Blue. Simon was being blackmailed by Martin, who found an email that was supposed to be sent to Blue. Simon must now deal with the struggles of people judging him at school, telling his family, and finding out who Blue is. Simon vs. the Homosapien Agenda is a wonderful coming-of-age novel because it portrays Simon’s situation realistically.

Becky Albertalli won the William C. Morris Award, Best Young Adult Debut of the Year, and the National Book Award Longlist.
