REVIEW: RIVERDALE

CW’s Riverdale is a show based off of a real comic book designed and published by Archie Comics, John L. Goldwater. The show has received many good reviews from Google Users, Rotten Tomatoes, IMDb and many others. The cast consists of New Zealand born star K.J. Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes,Madelaine Petsch, Ashleigh Murray, and Cole Sprouse. There was also an animated version of the show called Archie’s Weird Mysteries that ran from 1999 through 2000.

Season 1 mainly covered the death of Jason Blossom twin brother of Cheryl Blossom, played by Madelaine Petsch and Trevor Stines.  Season 1 also covered the aftermath of Jason’s death and his life. Jason Blossom at the time of his death he was dating his impregnated girlfriend Polly Cooper. At the time his death Jason was aware of his girlfriend being pregnant and they decided to run away from both of their families to start a life together and raise their child. Jason was selling drugs briefly before his death in order to run away with Polly Cooper, played by Tiera Skovbye, older sister of Betty Cooper, played Lili Reinhart.

The death of Jason Blossom occured on July 4th. He and his sister Cheryl decided to take a boat ride across Sweetwater River. Cheryl told everyone that Jason’s death was an accident. Jason’s body was never found, so his death went unsolved. Many people were factors in Jason’s death. His murder was finally uncovered when Jughead Jones, played by Cole Sprouse, Veronica Lodge, played by Camilla Mendes, Betty Cooper and Archie Andrews, played by K.J. Apa. The death was very tragic.
