ALL ABOUT MS. BOWMAN

Fortnite, PayDays, and camping. Who do these three things describe? Ms. Bowman! Ms. Bowman might not play Fortnite, but she’s definitely ready to take this hobby on with all the great things she hears about it. Ms. Bowman loves paydays (the candy) and also camping! She goes camping every fall or every spring. Her favorite cereal is Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Ms. Bowman has recently been going back to her latin roots in her music choices; listening to Spanish rock which kind of takes her back to high school. She’s a big Texans fan and she’s also an Astros fan (she likes playoff season more than regular season).

Ms. Bowman is a mother of 2: 1 boy and 1 girl. One is 3 years old and the other is 4 years old. Her out of school hobbies are all about her kids. She likes cooking, baking, and doing outside activities with them. Whether it’s going to a park, having a picnic, or going on a walk, it’s always better with her kids. She also likes books and puzzles. Ms. Bowman is the youngest of three siblings. She has 2 older sisters! She was born and raised in El Salvador in Central America. When she was 18 she came to the United States for college. She went to Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.

She became an assistant principal because her old coworker wanted to know if she would be interested in helping with the new school (Pin Oak). She started working at Pin Oak in 2015. This will be her 4th year here. Before she worked at Pin Oak, she worked at high schools such as Worthing, Westbury, and Westside; schools where some of Pin Oak’s former students attend. Ms. Bowman has a special place in her heart for languages. If she wasn’t in A house, she’d be in C house. B house is a close second because she also has a place in her heart for athletics and would love working more closely with the coaches.  Ms. Bowman’s favorite part of her job is the students, seeing the smiles, and being able to get close to the students. She also loves that in this job not everyday is the same.
